It was on a snowy night during a family ski holiday in France that Felix, Victor and Dimi were thinking about new business ideas and contemplated about their aspirations of becoming entrepreneurs. Because they were experiencing difficulties while preparing cocktails that night, the idea of a Cocktailbox came to life: a DIY box which contains all necessary ingredients to make delicious cocktails at home. Their mission was simple: to make serving high-quality cocktails easy for everyone.
While working on this idea during the following months, they found the perfect addition for their team: Jurgen Nobels, one of Belgium’s top bartenders and an all-time cocktail specialist. It did not take long before they shifted their focus onto a new, but similar project, named DORST. Based on Jurgen’s experience at big festivals, they started tackling a problem of another order of magnitude: the madness of serving quality cocktails in high volumes. Serving cocktails for a large crowd implies inconsistent measurements, high labor costs and is over all very time consuming.
